The Flood is Coming

God,

When I want to focus on my career,

You shift my focus to family.

When I want to focus on relationships

You emphasize my season of singleness.

When I want to move

You place people in my path who feel like home.

Loved ones fight with words that hurt

But You give me scriptures that heal.

I feel stagnant and stuck

But your plan for me continues to be revealed.

I know you are shaping me to move me UP

More malleable under pressure,

Your diamond through the rough

A lot of people say that they want to leave their mark

But before the flood came, Noah built an ark.

This week I want to pray for those that feel stagnant or stuck

help them turn around sit down, and just look up.

In your name,

Amen
