When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze."

Peace in Your Plan

God,

I spend a lot of time wishing that I knew what lies ahead,

But then I realized I should be thanking you for all you have stopped instead

Thank you for all the times you tell me no

As I try to figure out what direction to go

You know I don’t l need faith when everything falls into place.

Teach me how to keep trusting in you in the silent space.

When I am tired and walking blindly,

The enemy says where is your God now?

Through the fire and the flood I will not drown or burn

I don’t need to know right now

The when, the why, or even the how

Because Lord, I walk in your grace.

It takes more time to see the doors that are shut

To see the last one open in front of my face.
